Stacy Colwell – Colwell College Consulting
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m part of a BNI Chapter in Southern Marin, Network 54. BNI stands for Business Networking International. It’s an awesome group and I love being a member! One of the things I love most is getting to know other people who are professionals in different industries. It’s so fun to learn about other peoples businesses and passions and the best is when I have the opportunity to photograph them, allowing me to capture who they are and share it with the world. Today I’m sharing about Stacy Colwell of Colwell College Consulting.
Stacy is one of the people I have the pleasure of meeting with on a weekly basis to learn more about her business and how she can help, high schoolers specifically, learn about which college is best for them in and out of the state.
Today launches her start of the year working with Juniors in High School and helping to guide them on their way to finding the right fit college specifically for their interests and needs. She told us this morning that over 30,000 students leave California when attending college. That’s a huge number! And in thinking about how challenging it can be to find things that are right for us right here in our own state, I can’t imagine the challenges of looking out of state. Here’s where Stacy comes in. She does a comprehensive assessment of your student to find out who they are both personally and academically. She figures out if a small college with hands-on professors is what’s best or if a large college with the full “Greek” system experience is calling.
Thankfully I have a few years before I need to start thinking about this but I can assure that when the time comes for my boys to go off to college…I’ll be calling Stacy to help!
Stacy Colwell is a college consultant working individually with high school students to assist them in choosing “good-fit” colleges and helping them successfully navigate through the college application and financial aid process. She is a former classroom teacher who enjoys developing strong relationships with her students and helping them launch into the next phase of their lives. She can assist in all aspects of the college process from identifying colleges, to providing guidance on writing college essays, to providing application and financial aid support.
