A Love Of Roller Coasters

I love roller coasters. Matt loves them too and so does his family. I can remember the first family vacation I ever took with his family when Matt and I were just dating. We took  a road trip to Cedar Point in Ohio. It was the whole family and what a way to get to know everyone. I think what I remember most was Matt’s parents taking me on the “Ocean Motion” which was a large pirate ship that swung back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. They sat on either side of me and I think the ride was about 5 minutes long.  Thinking about that now makes me laugh!  Their sense of humor is something that I absolutely love and they can be sure that if and when either of my boys has a girlfriend that’s serious, Matt and I will be taking her on a ride just that like! So funny.

It’s sad to say that the last time I was on a roller coaster was years ago. I took Matt for Father’s Day one year. We brought along a baby sitter who took the boys on the kids rides and Matt and I rode the big coasters.  We know that we have two little boys who aren’t  big enough to ride anything larger than the “Tiger Coaster” at the Oakland Zoo, but that will change. And when it does, I think it’s good to be prepared to know where you want to go.

I recently saw a blog post via a link on Pinterest of my friend Marco’s with a list of 10 top roller coasters. They look super fun, especially the “Vanish” coaster at Cosmo World in Japan. It actually goes down into an underwater tunnel! Really??!! I wonder if it looks cooler than actually riding it but sign me up, I’ll take a trip to find out!

Here is the link to the post. Which coaster would you want to ride??
