A Getaway

I have no idea where we’re going!! I can’t remember the last time I haven’t known where I was going.

I told my husband tonight that tomorrow I wanted to spend some of the day cleaning our house. That we should open the doors to the backyard, put on some good music and clean. That I needed some help and tomorrow was the day. He responded with a big grin. A grin. I could feel that part inside of me start to boil a little but I took a breath and said, “hey, I need some help!”.

He grinned again and said, you just don’t know what it is that I’m thinking. Hmmmmm…..then I remembered that he had said a while back, when I finally gave him my anniversary gift, that I was going to get mine tomorrow. Tomorrow! Woohooo.

He smiled again and said, “well, let’s just say that tonight, you need to pack.” I need to pack? For what, how long? WHO ARE YOU???? You never do stuff like this???

Excitement is there, I still don’t know where we’re going but this is what I do know. I need a layered outfit that can take me into 87 degree weather. I may work up a bit of a sweat. We’re doing some sort of outdoor adventure in the early part of the day. I had to pack my bathing suit and then something nice for dinner.

He arranged for our wonderful nanny Martyna to come and be with the boys for the whole day. I can hardly believe it. A whole day, alone with my husband!!
